Awards

Throughout the football season the FALCON Club accumulates statistics and other vital information about football players at our local high schools. We select and feature in the local press a "Player of the Week". At the end of the season the Club holds its ANNUAL FALCON CLUB FOOTBALL AWARDS BANQUET. This event is attended by area coaches, players who receive the awards, Club members, the local media, and it features a well known speaker. It is a grand event!

The following awards are presented at each year-end banquet.

Personal Awards

• Falcon Club MVP
  Awarded to the area's best player of the year
• Darden Towe Memorial Citizenship Award
  Awarded to the most outstanding Corbette King Memorial Award winner.
• Harry Martin Memorial Trophy
  Presented to the area's most outstanding football coach.
• Carl Deane Memorial Sportsmanship Award
  Awarded to the area school that exhibits the most sportsmanship.
• Corbette King Memorial Student/Athlete Award
  Awarded to one outstanding student athlete at each of the following schools:

• Youth Sports Coach of the Year
  The award is given to a volunteer youth sports coach that in the eyes of The Falcon Club made the utmost impact on youth sports in Central Virginia that year. This award is open to all volunteer youth sport coaches.

  Presented annually to the winner of the Charlottesville H.S. vs. Western Albemarle H.S. football game.
• Ed Null Memorial Trophy
  Presented annually to the winner of the Western Albemarle H.S. vs. Albemarle H.S. football game.
• C.D. (Chubby) Proffitt, Jr. Trophy
  Presented annually to the winner of the Charlottesville H.S. vs. Albemarle H.S. football game.
• Carl Marshall Memorial Trophy
  Presented annually to the winner of the Charlottesville H.S. vs. Monticello H.S. football game.
• Joe Bingler Trophy
  Presented annually to the winner of the Western Albemarle H.S. vs. Monticello H.S. football game.
• Ronnie Durham Trophy
  Presented annually to the winner of the Albemarle H.S. vs. Monticello H.S. football game.
• Earl Barnett Memorial Trophy

• Walter Bickers Memorial Trophy
